The Exchange

For those in the wealth management space, The Exchange provides a national networking experience to drive innovation, industry transformation and the sharing of success stories.

The Challenge

With little time to spare, The Exchange called Ignite to put together their 2019 National Meeting with only weeks to go.

  • Solidify location along with nightly adventures for attendees

  • Negotiate on behalf of The Exchange to get only the best pricing

  • Create all conference materials including ads from sponsors

  • Mitigate any potential issues that may arise and handle accordingly

The Approach


In May of 2019 The Exchange was planning on hosting their annual National Meeting. The problem however was that The Exchange only had 1 person in marketing who was SWAMPED! She needed help putting together every aspect of the event and contacted Ignite Marketing Solutions for that exact help.

Ignite worked with The Exchange to identify New Orleans as the premiere location for their event. This was a different location than past events and would allow for many additional plans with no additional investment. We negotiated and contracted the NOPSI Hotel, a pristine luxury hotel in the heart of New Orleans, as the host location. Then we got to work planning the rest of the event.

With a map of the hotel in hand we were able to successfully plan 12 break out rooms for "fireside chats", a large ballroom that would comfortably hold our 200 attendees, a rooftop for day 1's evening party and rooms for every attendee.

We then got to work planning day 2 and day 3's evening events. Day 2 we curated a "Second-Line Parade" from the NOPSI Hotel to the Cat's Meow - a world-famous karaoke bar! With food and an open premium bar until midnight The Exchange and their attendees had the time of their lives! So much so that 2 of their sponsors, along with Ignite Marketing Solutions, extended the open bar to 3 am so the fun could continue.

Day 3 and the final day, Ignite planned a river cruise aboard the Steamboat Natchez up the Mississippi, complete with a live Jazz band and authentic New Orleans cuisine the left you wanting more. To top it all off, we met everyone bright and early the next day with fresh beignets and coffee from the world-famous Cafe du Monde French Market.


As part of the experience Ignite Marketing Solutions designed all event signage, presentation templates, conference brochure and handouts, video backdrops, branded beads, branded cocktail cups and branded cocktail umbrellas. This ensured a unified brand across all aspects of the event.

Ignite also created all sponsor advertisements for the event conference, handling the graphic requests of 15 sponsors in conjunction with all event logistics.
